2008 Club Specifics

The High School Varsity Club Teams
(Graduating Years 2009, 2010)

  • Star Program

This outstanding 5-Star Program for high school varsity players interested in showcasing their talents to get recruited to college includes

    • player evaluations for team assignments
    • uniforms (full - shorts & shirts), balls, etc.
    • 5 summer practices to prepare for summer tournaments
    • 3 fall practices to prepare for Fall Tournaments
    • 5 sessions of University Lacrosse Training
      (
      Sharpshooter for offensive players, DragonSlayer for defensive players, 'Not on My Watch'
      for goalies), great coaching (
      Head Coach & Assistant Coach on each team)
    • Post-season individual player evaluations and recommendations,
      including recommendations about advancement to the college level, and
      access to Top 2008 Club Team Recruiting Tournaments in the Country!

  • Player Fee: $600 + Tournament and League Costs
  • Team Names  -  Each team, once organized and formed, can choose its own 'University Team' name.
  • Team Make-Up  
    • 22 minimum players, 25 preferred (5-6 attack, 9 middies including 2 face-off, 6-8 defensemen including
      long-stick-middies, 2 goalies).  
    • These are High School Varsity Teams that will play in Varsity Level Tournaments;
    • Players will be evaluated and placed into the appropriate tournaments as AA level teams, A level teams, or B level teams, to insure they will compete successfully within recruiting venues.  
    • There will be no C level teams in these venues.
  • Existing Teams  -  are welcome to join the "U" Club Team system (can remain a separate team as long as there are no conflicts
  • Other information
    • Parent Co-Ordinators  -  Every team will have a Parent Coordinator
    • Players Normally Enroll  -  as individuals to join the "U" Club Team system
    • Players Can Organize  -  and form their own team as part of the "U" Club Team system (from existing teams, high-school teams, as an outgrowth of rec council teams, etc)
    • Player Teaming Requests  -  ALL "MUTUAL TEAMING REQUESTS" WILL BE HONORED (Mutual Teaming Requests are those mutually agreed upon by both parties - coach, another player, etc). All Other Requests - every effort will be put forth to honor all other requests.
    • Geographically Based Teams  -  Players can choose whether to be placed on an Anne Arundel County Facility Based Team or on a Baltimore County Facility Based team.
    • Access - "U" Club Team Members will have the 1st rights of refusal, AT ADDITIONAL COST, to participate in the Maryland
      Summer League, the Maryland Winter League, and the infamous Showtime Indoor Invitational League.
    • Limited Space  -  After evaluations, ALL players will be placed on the age-appropriate and skill-appropriate teams.  
      EXCEPTIONS -  1) Age - players can play 'up' if they are qualified.  2) Team placement is based on player evaluations, player requests, and is on a preferential treatment of 1st come-1st serve basis, so that if at the end of registrations there are not enough players to make up the last team, they will be denied.  To insure a spot REGISTER EARLY!!!!!!!
  • Player Evaluations  
    •  All players will be evaluated during one 2-hour session, being offered on 3 different dates in January 2008 and early February 2008.  Player evaluations will be offered in both Northern Baltimore County and in Anne Arundel County.
  • Top Tournaments
    •  The Varsity teams, AT ADDITIONAL COST, will play in the nation's top recruiting tournaments in both
      summer and fall.

Important Dates

  1. December 21  -  Registration Opens *********
  2. January 14  -  5 week University Training starts for all "U" team participants who have fully registered or paid the $200 Deposit
  3. January 19  -  Player Evaluation Day - UL Training Center @ Baltimore Lutheran School - Showtime Indoor League
  4. January 31  -  2nd Team Installment Payment Due
  5. February 9  -  Player Evaluation Day - UL Training Center @ Annapolis Area Christian School
  6. February 23  - Player Evaluation Day - UL Training Center @ Annapolis Area Christian School
  7. February 28  -  Each Team is Declared - Each Team Declares Its Tournament Schedule
     3rd and Final Team Installment Payment Due
  8. March 31  -  1st Half of Tournament Fees are Due
  9. April 30  -  2nd Half of Tournament Fees are Due
  10. May 26 Week - 1st of 5 practices for summer tournaments
  11. May 26 Week -  5 week University Training Starts for all "U" team participants who have Paid all fees and who missed the previous winter session.

    Varsity Expectations are high, and having success on a Top Level Varsity Recruiting Club Team is made easy by the "U".
